Groundbreaking lunch

Jill Edwards and Louissa Johnson with Dr Rob McEwan, Mr Andrew Walker and student representatives, Liam Wilkinson (Year 10) and Davey Windsor (Pre-Kindergarten).

At a lunch yesterday, we announced the name of the Signature Building as the N J Edwards Hub. This occasion also marked the commencement of construction on this visionary project.

The late Neale John Edwards (’59), known as John, attended the School from 1947 to 1959. He was School Captain in 1959.

After his education at Hutchins, John went on to build a very successful business career and was a generous philanthropist. A man of character and humility, he was extremely grateful for his Hutchins education. John exemplified the School’s values of humility, kindness, courage and respect.

We wish to thank all who have contributed to the remarkable success of the campaign, raising over $15.4M from 5,700 donors so far. The campaign will continue into next year.
